Why Artificial Intelligence (AI) Should Be Embraced and Not Feared

Like in every period of time in the past things were invented that people were afraid. From transportation that shortened the time of travel. Electricity changed the entire day and our duties. The Light Bulb brought light to a dark world. And the Personal Computer lightened the load and eventually created the AI revolution.

The use of AI in a modern society should be nurtured, trained, and made available to everyone in the world. AI engines should be free but I understand the need to collect funds to further the research.

People who fear AI simply do not understand what the technology can do. The fear that AI will take away their jobs, which may be so; but AI can create newer high paying opportunities.

Below is a list of how AI can benefit your life, work, or business:

Decision Making - Do you make poor decisions? AI can help you when other's will not or cannot. You can use AI to analyze data fast to provide effective and more informed choices.

Productivity - AI can save precious hours by doing repetitive tasks. This in turn can allow your workers to focus on creative or strategic tasks.
 
Safety - Does your process or product have a flaw? AI can alert you to potentially dangerous issues before someone gets hurt.

Personalized Experiences - Anything you can create that is custom can sell for more. AI can create tailored products and services based on the needs of others.
 
The negative issues with AI should also be explored. Many people believe that AI will steal their jobs, that it isn't ethical, that it's bias and that it could invade data.

To those who doubt this technology, I say try it out. Get your feet wet, you may like it.

Yet, AI can bring transformation to all societies, rich or poor, but it has to be developed with access for all. Those who are responsible for the development are essential to ensure that AI contributes to human progress.
